Year: Sophomore
Major: Civil Engineering
Minors: Sociology, Math
Q: Who would you want with you if you were stranded on a deserted island (& why)?
A: Jennifer Lawrence. If it’s true that she did (mostly) all of her own stunts for “The Hunger Games” films, then she probably has top-notch survival skills that would certainly come in handy. Plus she’s hysterical so I doubt we would ever run out of things to talk about, which is important because being stuck on a deserted island sounds kind of boring.
Q: Who is your favorite author/what is your favorite book?
A: I love anything Agatha Christie has written. She had such a talent for writing mystery and her books are always so hard to put down.
Q: What is the one thing that should be taught in school that isn’t already?
A: There should be a class on how to navigate awkward situations. It would answer all the tough questions. Should you go in for the hug or the handshake? Do you wave hi at that one kid that you kind of knew from math 3 semesters ago? There needs to be a textbook that takes care of all of this.
Q: What is the #1 most played song or artist on your iPod?
A: “Only the Good Die Young” by Billy Joel.
Q: What is your goal for the Quad/your section this semester/year?
A: My goal for the news section this year is to make it more investigative and to bring to light some important issues on our campus, like diversity, student debt and campus health and safety.
