Who? Sean Sonnemann, Web Editor

Year: Sophomore

Major: Civil Engineering

Q: Who would you want with you if you were stranded on a deserted island (& why)?

A: The Quadrangle staff, duh!

Q: Who is your favorite author/what is your favorite book?

A: John Steinbeck is probably up there. I loved “East of Eden,” “Tortilla Flat” and “The Grapes

of Wrath.” Willa Cather is another one of my favorite authors—her writing is really beautiful in

its simplicity. And of course, I’ve read all the Harry Potter books at least a few times each.

Q: What is the one thing that should be taught in school that isn’t already?

A: Time management. That’s definitely one of the biggest differences between being successful

or not. I live through my planner (probably a little too much) and don’t know what I would do

without it.

Q: What is the #1 most played song or artist on your iPod?

A: That’s a tough one. For better or worse, I’d have to say Hall & Oates, I can listen to them

really any time. I am a huge sucker for that smooth, soft rock sound from the late 70s and early

80s. But I’ll give anything a try. I love finding new music from any genre or time period. There

is no way I could ever pick just one.

Q: What is your goal for the Quad/your section this semester/year?

A: I was really excited for the launch of our website this semester. It was great to see everything

come together after all of our planning last year to make it happen. My goal is that the site is

continually updated with articles featuring all different kinds of multimedia: video, infographics

and lots of photos. We have gotten a decent amount of views so far, but we would always love to

get some more—and definitely more comments!
