Q: Who would you want with you if you were stranded on a deserted island (& why)?
A: I would definitely want my best friend Kendall with me. She has been my partner in crime since the 7th grade and she’s the one person I would not get sick of after a certain about of time. Instead of trying to get off the island we would probably just sit around and quote random YouTube videos that we have watched over the years.
Q: Who is your favorite author/what is your favorite book?
A: I’m the type of person who reads maybe four books a year and they are all memoirs by comedians. One of my favorites is “Bossypants” by Tina Fey. It’s so brilliantly written and while it is a hysterical read she also pulls at your heartstrings.
Q: What is the one thing that should be taught in school that isn’t already?
A: Common sense! The amount of times a day I say, “I hate people” is ridiculous. People are just not aware of the world around them and don’t know how to act in everyday situations.
Q: What is the #1 most played song or artist on your iPod?
A: I am always finding new music from TV shows and recently I found a version of “I’m Gonna Be (500 miles)” by Sleeping At Last from a “Grey’s Anatomy” episode. It’s an amazing cover of the ‘90s one hit wonder. It’s so much slower and softer than the original. This version is beautiful and I listen to it at least once a day.
Q: What is your goal for the Quad/your section this semester/year?
A: This semester I really want to dive into the arts department. I want to do more profiles on professors and what they do outside of the classroom. Also there are a lot of cool classes that are offered that no one really knows about that I would love to showcase in the paper.
