‘We Have Much More of a Chip on our Shoulder This Year Than We’ve Ever had Before,’ Duffy Says of Upcoming Season

Last season for Manhattan College, it was the third year in a row it failed to win the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference title. The back-to-back championship teams of ’11 and ’12 are further and further away, especially now that only one player from the latter year remains. What made ’14 sting more is the fact that it didn’t even qualify for the tournament. “When you … Continue reading ‘We Have Much More of a Chip on our Shoulder This Year Than We’ve Ever had Before,’ Duffy Says of Upcoming Season

New Jasper Home Plays Host to 2015 MAAC Championship

Mid-Season Struggles for MC Baseball a Cause for Concern?

Manhattan College baseball is 30 games into its season, and it has been nothing short of a big disappointment. “Each game we play it’s something different,” junior third baseman Joe McClennan said. “Sometimes it’s the pitching. Sometimes it’s the offense, most of the time it’s the offense. We haven’t picked up our pitchers at all this year. It’s pretty frustrating.” After winning back-to-back MAAC championships … Continue reading Mid-Season Struggles for MC Baseball a Cause for Concern?

Three Freshman Arms Leading MC Baseball toward a Bright Future

Nerves remedied with a bit of coach’s confidence and good sense can only help Manhattan College baseball freshman pitchers William Fabra, Joe Jacques and Joey Rocchietti so much. This is especially true on a team in which even as freshman, the pitcher’s mound is up for the taking. All pitchers know slacking isn’t an option because anyone can be called to pitch at any point … Continue reading Three Freshman Arms Leading MC Baseball toward a Bright Future
